Artic Storm – Classes Cancelled

Standard

We are definitely not weather forecasters, but made the decision to cancel Zumba and Piyo this evening due the information received below:

State Operations Center and the National Weather Service.

They are anticipating this to be a lengthy and troublesome storm and say it could rival the 2011 Super Bowl weekend storm in terms of duration and impact.

They anticipate this storm bringing several rounds of precipitation instead of just a single precipitation event with the arrival of the front.
Potential power outages are expected due to the ice accumulation on power lines and trees.
The storm is expected to impact travel from today through Monday.

Precipitation for much of our area could begin Thursday afternoon but should not be a problem until Thursday evening through Friday morning as the temperatures plunge below freezing.

Temperatures are expected to stay below freezing until Monday or Tuesday. A second lighter round of precipition is expected on Saturday.

The heater is on at the gym and still open 24 hours. If you don’t want to get out, here’s your workout…

Suggested home workout:

Set your timer for 15 Minutes and do as many rounds as possible
– 20 push ups
– 50 air squats
text a friend your score when done! 🙂

Stay safe and Warm
